Oral presentation overview

In my presentation I shared the main elements of Howard Farran’ professional background, the main aspects of his work, how he impacted and contributed to the field and why I think he is really inspiring.

Howard Farran is the founder and owner of Dentaltown.com and Dentaltown magazine and has practiced dentistry for more than 30 years now. He is one of the most successful and renowned dentists in the world. In 2017, Incisal Edge magazine ranked him #3 among the 32 most influential people in dentistry. Dr. Farran has also received several honorary mentions including receiving the Arizona Public Health Dentist of the Year Award in 1995 by the Arizona Office of Dental Health, being named Alumni of the Year by the University of Missouri in 1997 and the Arizona Award in 1989 from the Arizona State Dental Association for outstanding contributions made to the profession of dentistry and for his efforts to fluoridate the water of Phoenix. His world-renowned podcast Dentistry Uncensored has more than 1,000 episodes and has been downloaded more than 5 million times. Dentistry Uncensored’s guests include dental professionals from around the world, including top-tier specialists, dentists fresh out of school, CEOs of the world’s largest dental companies, and experts in marketing, finance, practice management and more. His lecture topics cover many various aspects of practice management such as business planning, internet marketing, operations, finance and e-commerce business.

This man really has a huge impact on the dental field. Since 1990, Dr. Farran has lectured internationally on the business of dentistry and what revolves around it. He captivates his listeners with his blunt, practical and humorous insights into the industry’s most controversial subjects. In 1999, Dr. Farran released the timeless “Your 30-Day Dental MBA” series and, since then, he has released so much content, including his world-renowned podcast series Dentistry Uncensored. He also has his monthly “Howard Speaks” column in Dentaltown magazine and the 11-part online CE course “The Virtues of Profitable Dentistry”. His impact is so impressive, this man reaches hundreds of thousands of dentists from around the world every single day. Howard Farran is also expanding is socials and counts thousands of followers on many social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and obviously Dentaltown.com which is the largest online community for dental professionals. This online community includes more than 160,000 dental professionals all over the globe. This man is also known to be the author of hundreds of articles in dozens of professional journals including the most read column in dentistry, “Howard Speaks”. He also has developed several educational video series on the business of dentistry. His most recent book, an International Best Seller “Uncomplicate Business” shares his proven techniques to increase productivity and expand your business. This man truly has a passion for helping dentists to provide easier, faster, high-quality and lower-cost dentistry to their patients.

Mainly, what truly inspires me the most about this man is that he has so much knowledge and he makes it a priority to share it with the rest of the world. He is really passionate of what he is doing and I love that he wants to share it with the world.
